The Artisans Guild

The Mission of Artisans Guild - Eastern Shore of Virginia
to encourage interaction among artisan members, to further their development and advance regional fine arts and craftsmanship while seeking to further mutual interests and maintain standards. The Guild fosters social contact, encourages and promotes the work of its Members and provides marketing opportunities.

Open Studio and Vineyard Tour

The Open Studio and Vineyard Tour, is held in November on Thanksgiving weekend. Other member opportunities include marketing and educational events at our Home in the Onancock School, and social events throughout the year. Juried Members work in a wide variety of media and include both contemporary and traditional work in wood, carvings, stonework, floor cloths, jewelry, hand-formed ceramics, furniture, functional and ornamental glassware, fiber, sculpture  and much, much more.  The 2009 Tour includes stops at two local Vineyards.

Artisans Guild Founders Fund

Through the Artisans Guild Founders Fund the Guild actively supports and promotes the goal of encouraging creativity within the entire Eastern Shore community. Our latest project is a photo lighting studio in our room at the Onancock School. We provide training for its use by our members and offer the opportunity for our juried members to photograph their artwork for publication, marketing and website use. The room is available for members to use for workshops and meetings.

The Guild uses this website to promote the activities of the Guild, support its members by providing another avenue to display their fine creations with the juried member pages, and to share our mission and purpose with the community.
